Dr. Zimberg is a renowned leader in radiation oncology with over 25 years of experience in strategic business development, clinical optimization, and management of multi-site oncology practices. He has been instrumental in advancing the field, notably pioneering the Bioprotect balloon rectal spacer, and is the only physician in the U.S. to have performed over 500 procedures using this technology.

As a founding partner of Integrated Medical Professionals, PLLC, a Solaris Health affiliate, Dr. Zimberg has served as a board member and Medical Director of the Advanced Radiation Centers of New York (ARC) since 2006. Under his leadership, ARC has grown into the largest freestanding radiation oncology practice in the Metro New York Tri-State Region. The practice now supports oncology facilities nationwide with its comprehensive infrastructure, including physics, dosimetry, and IT services.

Dr. Zimberg’s career has been marked by his involvement in deploying cutting-edge radiation oncology technologies for treating brain, lung, head and neck, and prostate cancers. He has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on the latest treatment technologies and the medical economics of large group practices. His work includes serving as a principal investigator in several FDA pivotal trials that evaluate innovative cancer care technologies. His expertise is consistently recognized by his inclusion in Castle Connolly’s Regional Top Doctors list in the New York area. More recently, he became the first physician in the US to implant the Bioprotect Balloon rectal spacer following its FDA approval, to further minimize damage risk during prostate cancer radiation.

He holds a BS and MD degree from the University of Michigan, an MBA from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, and completed his radiation oncology residency at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where he received the American Cancer Society’s Clinical Fellowship award. Dr. Zimberg also contributes to the field through his role on the board of the Association of Freestanding Radiation Oncology Centers (AFROC) and as a member of the Investment Advisory Board of Evolution Venture Partners, a healthcare investment bank focused on biotechnology and life sciences, including oncology breakthroughs.
