About Advanced Radiation Centers of New York

Our History

about-arc-insetThe history of Advanced Radiation Centers is strongly rooted in the New York Metropolitan area. More than two decades ago, Radiation Oncologist, Ezriel Diamond, MD, opened his practice in Plainview, New York, in Central Long Island. At the time, it was the first freestanding Radiation Oncology facility in eastern Nassau County.

Eventually, Dr. Diamond was joined by Dr. Shawn H. Zimberg, also a Radiation Oncologist, and together they grew their practice into what is now known as Advanced Radiation Centers of New York (ARC), with offices in Lake Success, Plainview and Hauppauge on Long Island, Hartsdale in Westchester County and West Nyack in Rockland County and Bronx County in the Bronx.

ARC is the leader in Radiation Oncology technology in the Metropolitan New York region and beyond. It is also the LARGEST freestanding Radiation Oncology practice in New York State, with the radiation oncologists of Advanced Radiation Centers treating more cancer patients than any other freestanding practice or most hospitals in the region.

Our doctors’ levels of expertise, experience and training are unmatched by physicians at any other top facilities in the country. The physicians and staff of ARC are proud to be technology leaders and experienced authorities in the latest radiation techniques.

Advanced Radiation Centers of New York (ARC) is proud to be a division and member of Integrated Medical Professionals (IMP) – a multi-specialty group formed by community physicians committed to providing the highest level of medical service available. All IMP member physicians are Board Certified in their specialties and many have additional fellowship trainings as well. IMP physicians are on staff at the leading hospitals in the New York Metropolitan area, are active in clinical and academic research, participate in postgraduate medical education, and lecture nationally and internationally on cutting-edge breakthroughs in medicine. This commitment to excellence has attracted the finest medical practitioners in the region and IMP has grown into the largest practice of its kind in the United States. By centralizing administrative services, the 100+ doctors of IMP can focus on what they do best: caring for you and your loved ones. IMP physicians, along with more than 600 medical and administrative support staff, are committed to the delivery of state-of-the-art healthcare in a compassionate environment.
