Cancers of the head and neck region are fairly uncommon and pose a difficult treatment challenge.
The physicians of Advanced Radiation Centers of New York are leaders in the treatment of cancers of the head and neck region. As many cancer physicians do not have a great deal of experience with these types of tumors, we are proud to have several physicians who have been cited as experts in this form of cancer and its treatment. Our Radiation Oncologists have lectured to healthcare professionals on cancers of the hypopharynx and regularly attending multi-disciplinary tumor board conferences in the Long Island area, and are members of the New York Head and Neck Cancer Society, which represents physicians in the NY metro area who are committed to the treatment of cancers of this region.
In addition to the physician expertise at ARC, we are proud to have been the first facility on the US east coast to treat a patient with head and neck cancer with RapidArc Radiotherapy - the most sophisticated form of radiation precision and accuracy available today.
